This is regarding the less famous of the two species of giant Galapagos lizards, not the one that sits on rocks by the shore, posing for the documentarian:

Among my herpetologist and ichthyologist friends, debate runs rampant about where "tastes like chicken" actually falls on the phylogenetic tree. Majority has it as a characteristic of all quadrapeds with a reversion in the mammals somewhere up the line from rodents and marsupials (which do taste like chicken)
